Compressed Air Car: No Hot Air Here

French auto engineer Guy Negre has developed a car powered by compressed air. Good idea, I think: efficiency similar to electric vehicles, but no batteries, faster refuelling, and (my favorite part) they run COLD, like ice build-up cold, so you get free A/C. Reported in The Gaurdian.

I think the the bandwidth requirements for WebGL apps are going to be a major motivator in the next round of graphics innovations. We traditionally haven't cared too much about the size of resources on disk because it's always been delivered on optical media or, more recently, through dedicated download clients like Steam. I question wether a user looking at a web page will display the same level of tolerance to large downloads.
